As previously announced, Bushy Park will be collecting and distributing materials for EVERY student on September 2 and 3. All HCPSS students in grades prekindergarten through five will be provided with devices prior to the start of the school year. Bushy Park students will receive their HCPSS issued Chromebook* in addition to other materials during their family’s scheduled time on September 2nd or 3rd. Please carefully review the below information regarding picking up a student Chromebook and other materials next week.
*If your student already has an HCPSS Chromebook from last school year, your child will continue to use their Chromebook for the 20-21 school year. However, you will still need to come to school during your designated time to collect other materials.

*For the health and safety of staff, students and families, we ask families to attend during their designated time slot. Arriving within your designated time frame will also help minimize traffic overflow and keep our process running smoothly.
* Upon taking possession of an HCPSS-owned Chromebook, families agree to the HCPSS Student Mobile Technology Duties and Obligations.
CURBSIDE PICK-UP PROCESS:
HCPSS staff will follow the CDC guidelines, will maintain social distancing, and will be wearing face coverings.
Drivers and occupants are not permitted to exit their vehicles.
Before arriving, write the first and last name and grade level, in large letters, on an 8.5x11 piece of paper. Create one sign for each student. This paper will be shown to staff during device pickup to help ensure all participants maintain social distancing, and it will not be collected.
When you arrive, pull in to our car loop, where members of our staff will greet and direct you. Follow the established traffic pattern and directions of school staff when you arrive.
SUPPORT:
After picking up the Chromebook, families can review the Chromebook Overview Guide and use the directions for connecting a Chromebook to Wi-Fi to connect it to their home network. Additionally, if your student(s) has forgotten their username or password or is new to HCPSS, they can use the Account Self Service directions to retrieve their account credentials. If your student has questions on how to use the technology to access instruction or is having technical issues, please reach out to one of your child’s teachers, Mrs. Jen Hendon, technology teacher, and/or Mrs. Christine Carey, Library Media Specialist.

We ask that you adhere to the guidelines and procedures above. Materials Pick Up
EVERY student attending Bushy Park in the 2020-2021 school year will have materials to pick up at our school. Our initial distribution plan is outlined below and we will communicate future distribution opportunities as needed. Please mark your calendars for these dates and times. More information about the process and procedures to be followed on these days will be shared soon.

Materials Drop Off
Materials must be returned to the school they were borrowed from (i.e. the student’s 2019-2020 school). It is up to the discretion of each HCPSS school to set collection and distribution dates. All materials returned will sit for a four-day period as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention prior to being inventoried. If your child attended a different school last year, please go to that school’s website to view their collection plan. If your child attended Bushy Park Elementary School last year, please bring your materials with you during your designated time for materials distribution based on your child’s last name. See above.
