Carson Reading Room - Winter Volunteers Needed!

The Carson Reading Room is back!  We are stocked with fun NEW books and cozy furniture for the school year!   But we can’t do it without support from our amazing parent volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering in the room, please sign up for your child's class below.

The Carson Reading Room gives each child’s classroom the opportunity to visit two to three times per year. We are looking for volunteers to oversee the students as they read for enjoyment. You will rotate small groups of your child’s classroom through the room during their language arts block. While in the room, students are free to read or look at books of their choice.  You can help them select books, read to them, have them read to you, allow them to read with a friend, etc. The goal is simply to enjoy time in a cozy setting with books!  The entire classroom will have the opportunity to utilize the Carson Reading Room in one day, so you will be able to spend some time with your child.
