Parent Volunteer Training Available Online

On Monday, September 19th at 9:30 a.m. we hosted our annual Parent Volunteer Orientation in the Cafeteria.  This is mandatory each year for any adult that will work with our students in a volunteer capacity.  Dr. Via was there to both offer the training and interact with questions and ideas.

On Friday September 23rd @ 12:30 p.m., there was a separate specialized orientation for parents who want to volunteer in our Carson Reading Room. The orientation was provided by our new reading specialist, Mrs. Laura Smith, and Dr. Via. This involved touring the space, receiving guidance for procedures with the students and having the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas. Those who came to this orientation needed to also complete the Parent Volunteer Training.

In order to access the Online Training, please return to our website homepage and click on "Get Involved".

Once you are there, please do the following:

  • Scroll down and review the information.
  • Review both the HCPSS Confidentiality Training and BPES Volunteer Training presentations
  • Print the Confidentiality Certificate
  • Print the noted page of the BPES Volunteer Training presentations.
  • The Carson Reading Room powerpoint is for your information prior to arriving to volunteer.

THANK YOU for giving of your time to be trained and offer the documentation!  We are grateful!
