Glenelg Choral Day Performance

Gleneg Choral Day, on October 21st, was  a great opportunity for students and parents in the community to see the wonderful things happening in this community and experience choral music from the elementary school level all the way up to high school.

The choir directors in our community collaborated, over the last year, planning this annual Choral Day of 2016.  The evening featured performances from:  Lisbon Elementary School 4th and 5th grade Chorus, Triadelphia Elementary School Chorus, Bushy Park Elementary Chorus, 7th & 8th grade Chamber Choir, Folly Quarter Middle School’s 6th grade chorus and 7th & 8th grade Choir, and Glenelg’s Chamber Choir/Madrigal Singers, Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, and Men’s ensemble.

Each ensemble has worked hard to prepare pieces to perform on their own as well as a piece that they all sang together at the close of the evening.  All of our ensembles learned “Uncle Joe” separately, which they performed  together to conclude the evening. We thank our wonderful Chorus Directors, Mrs. Fyhr and Miss Schwartz, for their guidance of our students' voices!

The video link below features the performance of almost 500 students on that final piece.
